Legacy Giving:

The Foundation specializes in legacy gifts, which help the Foundation work towards its goal of supporting Meals on Wheels long into the future, and allow you to know that your gift will be used to help for the long-term. Legacy gifts also have great tax benefits and can be very easy to do. Some options include:

Leave the Meals on Wheels Foundation in your will or trust:

    - Why?
  • A gift to the Meals on Wheels Foundation helps to ensure that the Foundation is able to continue to provide financial assistance to the Organization, so that Meals on Wheels can continue to serve the seniors and homebound citizens of Natrona County in the future.
  • A gift to the Meals on Wheels Foundation shows that you care about our mission and the people of Natrona County, and allows you to leave a legacy of caring and giving.
  • Planned gifts in your will or trust have significant tax benefits, and do not impact your current financial situation.
  • You can designate how the gift will be used, and how it will be acknowledged.
  • Gifts of every size help further our mission. We would be so grateful for your gift.

Leave the Meals on Wheels Foundation in your will or trust:

    - How?
  • Give a specific dollar amount or item of property.
  • "I give $10,000 to the Meals on Wheels Foundation."
  • Give a percentage of the residue of your estate after taxes, expenses, and specific bequests have been paid.
  • "I give 25% of the remainder of my estate to the Meals on Wheels Foundation."
  • Make your gift contingent.
  • "In the event that my niece predeceases me, I give $25,000 to the Meals on Wheels Foundation."
  • Honor a loved one.
  • "This gift is made in memory of my wife, a Meals on Wheels volunteer."

Gifts to the Meals on Wheels Foundation can also be made through your retirement plan or life insurance, or by setting up an endowment.

  • You can designate the Meals on Wheels Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance.
  • Often this can be accomplished with a simple phone call or letter to your retirement plan administrator or life insurance representative.
  • An endowment can be funded now with cash or appreciated securities, or after your lifetime with gifts from your retirement plan or life insurance.
